In Illustrator, select the whole logo with the Selection tool (V). It must be one group or compound path made of vector paths. If something is not right, the message offers the fix (group it, use the whole logo or capture an outlined copy).
The name is pre-filled from the document name. Correct it if needed. It is used in file names, generated pages and exports.
The panel saves a copy of the artwork and links it to this document. Save the Illustrator document afterwards so the link is kept. If the logo is later deleted, ungrouped or replaced, Logo Grids shows Capture selected logo again. Brand assets and other logos are kept.
Presentations, Guidelines and Files now use the captured logo. Add marks, wordmarks, fonts and colours in Brand assets. Logo Grids works on any selected logo, captured or not.
